over 20 year ago, and founded by John Ashurst and Dave Cunliffe,
Standish Ski Club have been organising several
skiing trips every year since then.
As John says, "our club is designed for all standards of
snow sports, from complete novices to the very experienced.
It's not just for experts, it's for anyone who enjoys skiing
and snowboarding with like-minded people, and find that being
helped to form ready made groups of friends at the different
levels makes their holidays far more fun. When people first
learn to ski, they usually find that having a great bunch of
fellow learners makes a tremendous difference to the experience.
We just try to make sure that that's what happens every time
and every trip".

Club membership is just £8 per year for individuals and

"The trips have a good variety to them", says Dave
Cunliffe. "We have run trips for mainly families of 20
to 50 people, and for adult parties of 100+ who really like
the apres-ski nightlife. When we land in town it's not a case
of asking where's the best party town? - we take no chances
and just bring a big one with us! The January trips are usually
the best for the European night life but the USA trips are starting
to catch up". |
